It Is Time to Come to The SMEE 2019

Three years ago, when we visited a well-known automobile manufacturing plant, the factory manager was deeply worried about the delay in delivery caused by the shutdown of the production line. There were 120 workers in the plant, amount which 75% are maintenance personnel, but it didn’t help, because they have to fix the equipment when it was failed.
That was not the first time we had encountered the similar problem. What’s more, in almost every plant, we also saw that the large number of equipment faced the problem of overrun and need to be upgraded. As new technologies are emerging, and marginal revenue are declining. The continually increased cost is a burden for plant managers to handle the old equipment.
Few years ago, the 4th industry revolution of industry 4.0 was just a concept, but nowadays it is necessary for every company or plat to implement something related to Industry 4.0, so they can be Industry 4.0 ready.
As the Industry 4.0 comes into the maintenance industry, the maintenance becomes much smarter. So, the maintenance industry has focused heavily on Predictive Maintenance lately. This simply means that a machine should not be repaired after it fails, nor too early when it is still in good condition. The machine should be repaired when it is really needed. The right moment is when failure is near – or in other words when the fault starts affecting the machine, but it is still safe to keep the machine running until the time for repair suits the company best (for example during a planned shutdown).
What a great era of industry 4.0 and IIOT (industry internet of things). Many of our friends and partners are looking after the solutions of smart maintenance or predictive maintenance. It is time to organize a show, where industry people come together at the same time at the same place to share their ideas and showcase their solutions.
